You have heard about us participating in AIR, but have you heard we won 1st place?  The Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) matches teams of web designers/developers with non-profit organizations to build new web sites or enhance existing ones to make them more accessible for people with disabilities.  We were fortunate enough to be matched with Trademark Media, one of, if not the, best web development companies in Austin, perhaps in all of Texas.  On October 24, 2009, Trademark Media, under the watchful gaze of Gene and Dave, spent the entire day designing and building an aesthetic, accessible web site.  Our videos were captioned in advance.  Gene and Dave shared their predilections, regarding color, sections, and general appearance with Trademark Media weeks earlier.  It was on that Saturday though that Trademark Media put the final touches on what later became, an award winning web site.

Completed web sites were judged over the course of the next several weeks.  IT experts and people with disabilities viewed, navigated, tested, and debated the merits of each web site.  In the final analysis, on November 19, the team of Trademark Media and Gene and Dave were awarded 1st place in the Formula One category by Knowbility, the event’s sponsor.  This is the second consecutive year Trademark Media triumphed over all others to bring home a 1st place trophy.

Gene and Dave would like to thank Knowbility for the opportunity to participate in AIR.  Most of all, we would like to thank Trademark Media for their dedication, professionalism, and expertise, that contributed to a web site that all folks with disabilities can appreciate.  They really went over the top to create a functional work of art.  awardstrophy4Kudos as well to Rhino Moon for their captioning service, essential to our accessibility.
