Born in the small Midwestern town of Salina, Kansas, Dave has always enjoyed entertaining people. He was born with Cerebral Palsy and has used a wheelchair all of his life.

His family encouraged him to always pursue whatever dreams he could imagine no matter how large or small. His grandmother ignited his passion for performing when he was only five years old by having him sing ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ in front of the local CB radio club and for 200 hundred guests at a Special Olympics banquet.

Dave’s acting experience comes from stage performances in both high school and college for such roles as The Stage Manager, the lead role in “Our Town” and Prince Escalus in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”.

In his twenties, Dave took a break from acting to establish a solid career as a computer system analyst programmer. Now he is pursuing his lifelong passion through hosting this show, acting with Actual Lives and on film, and his voice-over work.

In addition to The Gene and Dave Show and Actual Lives, he is currently perfecting his acting and voice-over talent with professional training. His acting and voice-over work is profiled at daviddauber.com.
