VSA arts of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to create a society where people with disabilities learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts. Working at the intersection of multi-disciplinary arts, education reform, and disability rights, we serve as an international model in which people with disabilities have complete access to cultural, artistic and educational venues, programs and employment.

Knowbility

AIR-Austin is a unique, award-winning program that has received local and national media coverage. Its purpose is to match teams of web designers/developers with non-profit organizations to build new web sites or enhance existing ones to make them more accessible for people with disabilities. Over the past ten years, the Austin community has joined forces to ensure that countless people with disabilities can now access their information and better use the Internet as a tool for gaining knowledge, economic power and exploring job possibilities.

Longhorn Health Solutions

Longhorn Health Solutions started doing business in 2005, but they have been in the medical supply industry going back to 1980. They surveyed the industry and felt there was a very strong need for a company that focused on treating people with class and respect and not as government insurance recipients, which they feel is the prevailing model of their industry. So far, it seems to be working, for them. They are providing supplies to thousands of clients across Texas and eagerly making plans to open up new locations in El Paso and Lubbock. Longhorn Health Solutions is privately owned and operated and has chosen Austin, Texas as home for their corporate office.
